Kotobukiya will publish its “Otacool Worldwide Otaku Rooms” photo collection in late October.

  The book will contain between 100 and 150 “otaku rooms" from Japan and other countries that have appeared at the site “Danny Choo.com”, and the collection will be compiled after permission for the rooms’ appearance is received from landlords. Readers will be shown “stylish rooms with otaku coolness” that you ordinarily wouldn’t be able to get a peep at.

  Photos will come with the room owner’s name, age, otaku (“nerd”) history, nationality, total collection number, collection genres, collection value, particularities and a photo headshot. Also appearing will be an introduction by Mr. Danny Choo, an introduction to display techniques, a column with a one-day close-up interview in an action figure modeler’s otaku room and workroom, and more.

The book will contain 128 A5-size pages and will be priced at 1,575 yen.
