In a recent Interview the head of Team Ico commented on some more details about the rather hot looking PS3 game so far titled "The Last Guardian" as well as other issues like the in his eyes monotonous game structure in GTAIV. In his eyes that instead of realizing the game's structure flaws they simply reused it again.

Also after a lot of internet talk about Miyamoto using a level in Mario Galaxy that is supposedly influenced by Shadow of the Colossus, Ueda was actually disappointed after seeing it: "What I'm critical against isn't the fact that they borrowed something that actually isn't even originally from me, but the fact that they didn't make anything more interesting out of it" he says in the interview.

It seems as if "The last Guardian" is receiving a lot of hype and suspicion rises on the fact that unlike Ico and SotC it won't back up it's substantial value with revenue. Considering the high production cost for PS3 games sold on Bluray this should come welcome for one of the most progressive game producers as of now.

There are hints that TlG will use a fantasy language not unlike its predecessors. We can only wait and see until more details are revealed.
