SMAP's Kusanagi arrested for public indecency
posted 09/04/24
During yesterday's early morning hours an apparently drunk and naked man was arrested for making a ruckus in Tokyo's exceptionally well kept Hinokicho Park. As it turned out this man was Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (34), a rather popular celebrity famed for his participation in Pop band SMAP as well as various Drama and TV commercial appearances.
While police took the raging man into custody he kept shouting "What's wrong with being naked?", resisting the authorities while his clothes where wrapped to a ball besides him.
This should come quite surprising as this kind of behavior does not conform with his rather clean image and his huge popularity and even led to a small commotion at Japan's stock market. As a usual customary, TV stations all over the country are working hard to remove all commercials and imagery initially scheduled for broadcast.
