Toei Forges Dragon Ball License Agreement with Firm in North and East Europe

According to news site Anime Anime, leading Japanese anime company Toei Animation has decided to use Stockholm-based licensing firm Plus Licens AB as a licensing agent in Northern and Eastern Europe. The two companies have concluded a license agreement for the Dragon Ball series.

Plus Licens AB’s license includes rights to TV distribution of 508 stories from three series (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT), video packaging rights and merchandising rights. It does not include video game or publication rights.

Toei Animation’s new license agreement in Europe follows two made at the end of last year with TF1 and TLC Germany. These agreements contained the same terms, with TF1 covering French and TLC Germany handling the German language.

With this latest agreement, Toei Animation is starting a new Dragon Ball licensing project in a broad market across all of Europe, from west to north and east.
