People are talking about the Comics Memo from stationary goods maker Sakamoto.

In the Comics Memo, pages are taken from comics and shrunk into a memo pad-sized book. All the dialogue is whited out so you can write in whatever text you want.

So far memo books of thirty-five comic titles in all have been created such as Fist of the North Star, titles that appear in Weekly Shonen Sunday, and series by Rumiko Takahashi and Go Nagai. A company publicist said that some popular versions have sold out because the company will not make further print runs.

The first Fist of the North Star series has gotten a big reaction from the hilarious contrast between Kenshiro and Rao's intense facial expressions and the original dialogue written by buyers of the memo pads.

Each product contains twenty copies of four pages with famous scenes. The books are priced at 210 yen.
