The Maid Cafe called Maidreamin (pronounced: my dreaming) which just opened on April 25, 2008 is apparently doing well enough to expand it's service. On November 22nd the second branch called "Maidreamin Second Degree" will open it's doors with the same "dreamy" concept as the first one.

 

Basically the main point is the mood that with the help of carefully set lightning as well as caring staff, is supposed to be dreamlike and relaxing. The white and pink color pattern will be kept as well as the "Giganto-Menu" which has some truly gigantic dishes and is usually limited to a few orders per day.

 

The center of the premise will have a big U-shaped counter, something not reminiscent of a maid cafe but rather a japanese lunch joint. A good luck fountain, supposedly offering good luck after being fed some coins.

 

The cafe turns into a bar at night, serving alcohol but only stays open until 22:00 as to not give off the wrong impression, that apparently being mistaken with a hostess club so the owner explained.

 

When asked about why open up a second branch he said: "With all the dark news we've had it seems that recently things are getting livelier again. Also many of our existing customers actually mentioned they would appreciate a second branch, so we want to meet that demand."
