Manga Delivery Service

posted 08/11/21

Ever wish you could just order your favorite Manga by calling a number and then have them deliver you all the volumes you want? Well in Akihabara this service has just started about a week ago.

Depending on your location and amount of volumes requested, Manga retailer Mangazenkan will have somebody deliver the order in a short amount of time. Not only does the way of deliverance, via motor scooter, remind one of the countless lunch deliveries, it even looks like them because they are using the same silver boxes.

In Japan it is very common for people to read manga at a manga cafe, which usually has a drink bar as well as internet access. According the a spokesman this service is targeted at those who'd rather read at their own home. They also plan to expand it's delivery service to places besides Akihabara if it takes off well enough.

Optional items like drinks, snacks or even a hammock can be included. Price will vary depending on the series as a usual delivery will include all volumes of the series.

a rental delivery service might do better
buying a whole series at one time can turn out to be a huge chunk of cash

@Potato

Yes very true, I actually thought that's what it was before.
I think it will come eventually.
