Again it was time for the only game event that really matters: Tokyo Game Show. While the Games Convention served as the platform for the new PSP 3000 presentation, gamers and press from around the globe came to see the newest of the best, the substance counting more than the technology it runs on: Video Games. 

And there where a lot of them. Konami with a big presence across all platforms with games like Winning Eleven 2009 or Metal Gear Online. They also created a sort of haunted house for Silent Hill: Homecoming, a game that appears to be anticipated much more by foreign press then by the japanese.

Square Enix though by no doubt had the most games and spin-off works to offer. Chrono Trigger (DS),  Dragon Quest IX (DS), Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (Wii). Being a big fan of the original Valkyrie Profile I was especially looking forward to the DS version. After a 20 minute play it was clear that it was an entirely new game but it did not seem like a bad thing.

Capcom as expected was another big name, boasting new titles that are bound to give fans a run to the shelves: Street fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom look like very good games, Biohazard 5 and Monster Hunter 3 could be heading for the game of the year nominations.

Another interesting title is The Another World, I suppose the title would change for the west, which is being developed by Level 5 and designs by Studio Ghibli. There was a talk event going on with the developers and some of the items that will be included with the game where in display. It looks interesting though so far there does not appear to be a playable version.

On another note Tecmo who have been through some harsh times with main developer Itagaki leaving the company in anger. However, even though their game line up appears a bit low profie they definitely made honor to their reputation of getting the best and probably the most booth babes.
