Yodobashi to Display Foreign Language Ads

posted 08/09/17

The huge Yodobashi Camera electronics store in Akihabara is planning to display ads on their big outside screen conducted in the english language. So far there are some advertisements in chinese being displayed, however from mid september on english and korean ads will inform passerby's about duty free shopping and their multilingual staff. This shows how strong the foreign customer base is for Yodobashi as many tourists from overseas especially target the store to buy electronic equipment.

Currently Yodobashi Vision is installed in Tokyo, Yokohama and Umeda. All three displays will change to the new multi language setting during september but a spokesman added: "So far no other languages are planned because we cover a lot of ground with the new ones."
