Franklin Mint, Toei and Ishimori Production have teamed up to deliver a special limited edition coin set in commeration of the birth of the Artist that created legendary series like Masked Rider or Cyborg 009.

The set consists of ten (american) 50 cent coins with half of each coin bearing a different color image designed by Illustrator Ryo Kudou. Each Coin is 30.6 mm in diameter and weighs 11.4 gram. Even though Franklin Mint is an american company the set will only be available in Japan and will mainly retail through online order. However, a few selected stores like the bookstore on the top floor of Akihabaras Yodobashi Camera will allow pre ordering. 

Shotaro Ishinomori, who holds the Guinness World Record for most comics published by one author would be 70 years old by now.

The set will be limited to 7000 copies and will retail for 29 800¥.
